Scandalous Anne Lister: lesbians on the BBC!

The very naughty diaries of a woman called Gentleman Jack and why her bodice-ripping lesbian confessions are being turned into a TV drama
The BBC has commissioned ‘The Scandalous Diaries Of Anne Lister,’ who Glenys Roberts of the Daily Mail explains, was the ‘first modern lesbian’.

Lesbian scenes are particularly popular with viewers, reckons the red blooded tabloid, and so Glenys Roberts piece is tastefully illustrated with a publicity shot from a previous bodice ripping lesbian drama, ‘Tipping The Velvet’.

Naturally, ‘The Scandalous Diaries Of Anne Lister,’ is expected to be compulsory viewing for Paul Dacre’s team.
